Felt, perhaps, is the most ancient nonwoven material, which became known to man for many hundreds of years before our era. The History of this material goes deep into the centuries. Many cultures have legends about the origin of Felt. One of them is connected with the history of Noah's ark. This story tells us of hair, falling from the animals on the floor, has joined and then trampled by hoofs it became the first felt carpet.
